The first general assembly of School Year 2017-2018 took place at the Multi-purpose Building on June 21, 2017, during which Ms. Grace Magtaas, the School Director, encouraged the students to make the most out of this school year in order to grow and learn from the experiences and challenges that they will be facing.
Following this, she acknowledged students for the various achievements and distinctions they received over the summer, such as the medalists of the Palarong Pambansa, namely, Beatrice Felizardo, Clarissa Isabel David, and Isabella Marie Dumada-og, followed by Ana Margarita San Juan, who was the Class Valedictorian of the 50th Ateneo Junior Summer Seminar.
Ms. Magtaas introduced the school thrust of this school year, “Live Fully as God’s Beloved!” which motivates members of the community to become an instrument of God’s grace and presence in our journey of life. Afterwards, Sr. Ana Maria Melocoton R.A., the Mother Superior of Assumption Antipolo, Ms. Marie Grace Magtaas, Ms. Marah Santiago, the Director for Administrative Affairs, and Ms. Maria Luz San Andres, the Director for Student Affairs and Services, introduced the different members of the Assumption community.
After the assembly, the students went to their levels for the orientation with their class advisers and teachers.
